Ingredients

NOTE: Our products contain a variety of nut products and bee products.  PLEASE DO NOT USE IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES TO ANY OF THESE INGREDIENTS.

Ingredients commonly used in our soaps:

Avocado Oil: Nourishing and moisturizing; very emollient. Excellent skin, hair and scalp conditioner. Contains Vitamins A, C, D, & E, potassium, thiamin and riboflavin.
Oil: Very penetrating-excellent for overly dry skin.

Beeswax: Natural thickener and emulsifier.

Cocoa Butter: Cocoa butter comes from the seeds of the Cocoa plant. It is a creamy, rich moisturizer known for its skin softening properties.

Coconut Oil: Coconut oil is a lightweight, odorless and colorless oil. It doesn't clog pores and is known for its cleaning properties and rich bubbly lather.  It also makes for a hard, long-lasting bar.

Cosmetic Grade Colorants: These colorants are commercial grade colorants approved for use in skin care products. We strive to obtain our colorants from reputable suppliers of the soap making industry.

Essential Oils: Essential oils are the natural essences extracted from botanicals (flowers, herbs, bark, plants). The extraction process is usually performed by distillation with steam. The resulting essential oils usually contain the fragrance and chemical properties (healing, etc.) of the plant. Because of the extraction process, essential oils are generally very expensive and used in small quantities.  They are most popular for aromatherapy.

Fragrance: A fragrance is synthetically made scent. The fragrances we use come from reputable commercial suppliers that offer products approved for skin care products.

Glycerin: Glycerin is a sugar-type component of the fat molecule and is a natural emollient and humectant (attracts water to the skin).  It is also a natural byproduct of soap making, left in the soap by most handcrafters because of its qualities. Pure glycerin-based soaps are usually clear and smooth.

Hemp Seed Oil: This oil has the lowest amount of saturated fatty acids and the highest amount of the polyunsaturated essential fatty acids;(linolic and linolenic acids).
Is beneficial in soothing and moisturizing skin. Also used for healing abilities.

Jojoba: Oil is the closest to natural human sebum; emollient, moisturizing humectant.

Lavender Essential Oil: Cleansing, astringent properties; skin reparative-promotes rapid healing.

Oatmeal: Oatmeal has long been known to be a friend to skin, with its gentle cleansing properties and ability to soften and calm skin rashes and irritations.  We also use oatmeal as a natural exfoliant in our scrubbing soaps because it is gentle enough for sensitive skin.

Olive Oil: Olive oil has been used for centuries as the standard of quality because of its gentle emollients, skin softening qualities and its ability to produce a smooth, silky lather. In fact, the southern France and Italy are regarded as the "mecca" of soap making because of their history of making Olive oil-based soaps, like Castile soap.  We use a well-known high quality food grade Olive oil in our soaps.

Palm Oil: Refined Palm oil is used to make a durable, long lasting soap bar.

Shea Butter: Shea Butter comes from the fruit of the African Karite tree. This unusual moisturizer is often used in skin care products and is thought to also contain natural skin protectors.
Extremely therapeutic; helps cracked aged or damaged skin. Heavy butter penetrates skin leaving it soft and smooth.

Sweet Almond Oil: Exfoliant and emollient. High in skin loving nutrients and fats. Oil rejuvenates and promotes cell renewal. Lubricating, but not penetrating; relieves dryness and itching. Good for all skin types.

Tea Tree Oil: Antiseptic, anti-fungal, anti-viral. Good for most skin conditions.

Vitamin E: Used as a preservative and antioxidant.

Wheat Germ Oil: Natural anti-septic and toning properties; exfoliates dead skin cells.
